Neutrality & funding

Support the work. Keep the standards shared.

How iKnow Blockchain is funded, and the rules that keep funding away from what we publish.

Status: the full neutrality and funding policy, the upkeep price list and the funder ledger are planned and not yet published. Nothing is offered for purchase yet. The commitments below are the owner's decisions that the policy will set out.

The same free baseline for every chain

Every chain in the catalogue gets the same profile fields, the same evidence standard, the same recheck deadlines, the same place in alphabetical order and the same free way to report errors, with a public corrections log.

What funding can and cannot do

  • Foundations will be able to fund disclosed, fixed-price upkeep by invoice, or contribute to a shared fund that improves the service for every chain.
  • Individuals can support the work with crypto donations.
  • Nobody can buy inclusion, a better position, favorable wording, a different assessment, faster or friendlier corrections, or a different standard of evidence.
  • Funders do not approve findings. Support pays for specified work; it does not decide what the work concludes.
  • Financial support is never shown as a quality badge, and financial data is never an input to ordering or assessment.

Disclosure

Where upkeep is funded, the chain's profile will say so in these words: “Upkeep funded by [name]; verdicts unaffected.” Each disclosure will link to the funder ledger, which separates money received from commitments.

Accountability

We plan to publish the neutrality and funding policy and a public funder ledger. Until they exist, we make no claim about totals or funders either way.
